What possessed you to write such eerie and dark lyrics for this EP? Your albums usually are light, filled with love! i heard a couple from one you put out as yourself and it seemed to be written about a girl (or guy) you were really in love. This trilogy seems to have come from a dark place. Actually made me pretty sad. Hope you feel better soon. Get over the chick/dude and start busting out the jams! Tell us all, who's the jerk that broke your heart!

This is a really loaded question so the only answer I can give is that yes there was a female entity and who inspired the Trilogy EP and the upcoming album. And most of the songs come from a place that may be considered a dark place. However, I believe that the EP and the batch of songs slated for the LP are some of the best songs if not thee best songs I have ever written and that through the catharsis of creating and even singing these songs at a show or to myself I am putting myself in a better position to kick out the jams in the future. I’ve actually started ruminating about the third recordĀ  and I foresee an etherial experience. Perhaps it is my own hopefulness that allows me to forecast such a positive future both musically and personally. I hope that doesn’t sound like hogwash diplomacy, because in my own cornball way it is true. My life right now is hopeful because that’s just my nature and I also have many positives in my life to be thankful for which I appreciate each day to the fullest. The trick is to navigate through the negativity and toxicity that comes my way and turn those things into something beautiful, whether they are through my songs, music films, or other creative outlets. I have always thought of my music making process as therapeutic. A sort of way to condense my life or moments in time into 3 minute ditties. So while a girl may have inspired the mood or one or two lines in a song, my whole life is actually in these songs whether it’s from one song to another or within a single song itself. I believe that both the light and the dark parts are represented in these works. So it’s either that or I have been more influenced by my recent playlists than I’d like to admit.
